Forty marinas in the Bahamas, the British Virgin Islands, Antigua and on St Martin publish figures for yachts of 24 metres and more: 22 in the Bahamas, nine in the BVI, four in Antigua and five on St Martin. Falmouth Harbour Marina in Antigua gives the largest figure, yachts of up to 535 feet.

St Barths is missing on purpose: we found no official source for berths of 24 metres and more in the Port de Gustavia, and we did not use directories or magazines instead. No authority in the five destinations publishes berth sizes. Every length and draught below comes from the marina itself or from an industry directory, bahamasmarinas.com for the Bahamas and abyma.ag for Antigua, not from an authority.

Which marinas take the largest yachts?

Falmouth Harbour Marina in Antigua says it accommodates yachts of up to 535 feet (163 metres). Next come Bay Street Marina in Nassau (vessels up to 500 feet), Hurricane Hole on Paradise Island (slips up to 420 feet) and the Antigua Superyacht Marina in Falmouth Harbour ("100m+ berth capacity").

On St Martin, Yacht Club Isle de Sol inside the Simpson Bay Lagoon takes yachts of up to 97 metres, with 40 berths of 24 metres and more, the only marina in the list that counts them. In the BVI, the YCCS marina in Virgin Gorda's North Sound gives 91 metres, but only in a factsheet from 2015; whether it operates like that today is not documented. Bitter End in the North Sound follows with 240 feet.

What do the figures mean?

Max. length is the largest figure a marina publishes. Most sources give the size of the vessel; Hurricane Hole, Old Bahama Bay, Catamaran Marina and the Antigua Superyacht Marina give a berth size, and Jolly Harbour gives the range of its superyacht dock. Almost all sources quote feet. Where the source states the unit, we show metres rounded and the feet from the source.

Figures without a unit: for 14 Bahamas marinas, the only figures come from the marina pages of bahamasmarinas.com and read like "Draft : 10 LOA : 235", with no unit. They are probably feet, but the source does not say so, so we show them as published and did not convert them. Albany is a special case: bahamasmarinas.com says 300 feet, the operator 250 feet.

Max. draught is thin: 13 of the 40 entries give a draught, two of them only for the access channel or harbour entrance. Six others publish only the water depth, at the berth or at mean low tide, which is not the same as a permitted draught; we mark those. Only Atlantis, Simpson Bay Marina and Yacht Club Isle de Sol publish length, draught and beam together. Fuel is confirmed at 28 marinas, five have none and seven sources do not say.

Where can you clear in?

Port of entry "yes" means the customs authority lists the facility itself: the Bahamas Customs list of ports of entry, Antigua's customs page (only Jolly Harbour among these marinas) and the French customs list of approved clearance points for Marina Fort Louis. That applies to 16 of the 40. A dash does not mean you cannot clear in there, only that no official list names the marina. Hurricane Hole calls itself a port of entry, but it is not on the customs list. The YCCS factsheet names customs and immigration clearance as a marina service, which is not an official source either.

In the Bahamas, Cape Eleuthera is listed as "Restricted". In the BVI, Scrub Island says guests from outside the BVI must clear in at a BVI port before docking. The full procedures, systems and fees per destination are in our guide to clearing in by yacht in the Caribbean.

Which harbours are not on the list?

St Barths, for the reason above. Nelson's Dockyard Marina in Antigua was not accessible for this research. Resorts World Bimini, Chub Cay and Treasure Cay in the Bahamas, Saba Rock and Leverick Bay in the BVI, Antigua Yacht Club Marina and Porto Cupecoy on St Martin were left out because no usable figure for 24 metres or more was found, or only a sales page.

YCCS Virgin Gorda rests on a 2015 factsheet, and Oil Nut Bay gives a maximum only for its mooring buoys (120 feet), not for its docks; the marina reopens for the 2026/27 season on 16 October. Rules for anchoring, speed and protected areas are in our guide to Caribbean rules for yachts.

For the Mediterranean, see our lists of superyacht marinas in Italy, on the Côte d'Azur and in Monaco and in the Balearics.
