On the water since the age of eleven

He started windsurfing at eleven and sailed his first regattas at twelve. Water skiing, wakeboarding, surfing, jet skis and kitesurfing followed.

Publishing about watersports since 1996

In 1996 he launched wakeboarding.de, an online magazine about wakeboarding. Jetski.de and wassersport.de followed, and later, together with sport1.de, the action sports portal sport2.de.

Three decades in international business

For around 30 years he worked as a head of sales and as European managing director for American and Asian technology companies.

Electric boards since 2017

In 2017 he founded E-SURFER in Berlin with the first blog about electric surfboards, followed by the first YouTube channel on the subject. Since 2019 E-SURFER has sold eFoils and jetboards, with its own showroom and test centre in Berlin. He has ridden the leading eFoil and jetboard brands himself, has trained hundreds of riders and is a founding board member of the Global Foil Board Sports Association (GFA). In 2026 he published eFoil – The Complete Guide, a book about buying, learning and riding an eFoil for beginners, watersports fans and yacht owners, in German and English.

Superyachts since 2022

Since 2022 he has worked with superyachts and is in touch with captains and crews almost every day, mostly about accessories and spare parts for the water toys on board. Many of the questions answered on Toys & Crew come from those conversations.
